Register Yourself as a Peripatetic Teacher

Should you be on the outlook for a rewarding teaching opportunity, our team is constantly growing and we are keen to welcome vibrant, experienced tutors.

While it is important to retain certain long standing methods of teaching music in schools (and other surroundings such as UCAN centres and community groups), our tutors are keen to generate a fun and interesting learning environment in order to stimulate the creativity of students.

Lessons are structured into one-to-one sessions lasting twenty minutes. This ensures that students are guaranteed to benefit from the full attention of their tutor and allows time to concentrate on individual areas of development, with sessions organised into no less than three consecutive pupils per instrument so that you can operate efficiently.

In response to the expansion of more contemporary teaching methods, the Rockschool exam syllabus has been very popular amongst tutors and students and is central to our services, alongside more traditional exam boards such as ABRSM, Trinity, RGT and LCM.

From our own experience, providing structured lessons and allowing pupils to progress through the graded exams has proven to be very productive, and is looked upon favourably by parents and schools. Of course, exams also give students a goal to aim for and a recognised achievement. It is evident that the Rockschool board is particularly popular with students as the repertoire leans more towards current musical trends, that pupils can relate to and maintain interest while developing their musical technique and skills.

What’s more, as a registered Rockschool Exam centre, pupils can earn their grades right here in Bolton’s town centre. As outlined above, other exam boards are of course offered, from beginner level right up to grade 8.

Booth’s Music is proud to provide a high standard of tuition to the next generation of up and coming musical talent across the North West. If you think you can bring further skills and experience to the team of tutors and would like to develop your own teaching experience, please fill out the form on the right of this page.
